The Challenge
A client operating within a small production kitchen required a rack washing system that could fit into a restricted working area without affecting day-to-day workflow. Standard off-the-shelf systems were too large for the available space and did not fully meet the client’s operational requirements.
The customer also needed a practical way to wash trays more efficiently as part of their daily cleaning process.
The Solution
To meet the client’s requirements, Unitech Washers designed and manufactured a compact bespoke rack washer tailored specifically to the site and application.
The unit was built as a pit-mounted system to help maximise available floor space and create easier loading access for operators. For customers where pit mounting is not suitable, the same system can also be supplied with ramp access.
An additional bespoke tray rack was also designed and supplied to improve cleaning efficiency and handling during operation.
The Process
Rather than adapting the customer’s workflow to suit a standard machine, the system was designed around the client’s exact requirements from the beginning.
This included reviewing the available installation space, understanding the type of items being washed, and developing a compact solution that would work effectively within the production kitchen environment.
The machine is now fully manufactured and ready for wiring ahead of installation.

The finished system provides the customer with a compact and practical rack washing solution designed specifically for their production area and cleaning requirements.
